About REBecca

I am an accredited Play Therapist completing my training with the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapists (APAC).  I am registered with PTUK (registration number: 201501079).  Being registered with PTUK means my work is regulated and ensures I adhere to specific ethical principles.  I am also a member of the British Psychological Society.

I am passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.  Since completion of a psychology Masters in 2010 I have worked nationwide with children, young people and parents involved with Children’s Services for different reasons.  My work has allowed me the opportunity to work with people with social communication difficulties, learning needs, experiencing bereavement, alcohol and drug misuse, contact concerns, parental separation, victims and perpetrators of domestic violence, homelessness and mental health difficulties amongst others.    I have worked as an Expert Witness completing assessment reports for the family courts as well as a Family Support Worker.  As a Play Therapist, I have worked in several schools in different London Boroughs.  I have provided over 200 hours of support to children and young people, completed reports on Therapeutic Play and Play Therapy interventions and offered advice and guidance to schools and parents.  I have completed both individual and group therapeutic support.

I love to learn and develop new skills and constantly strive to develop my skill set to enhance my practice with children, young people and adults.

About Lily Pad Play Therapy

Lily Pad Play Therapy Ltd. has been created to offer therapeutic support to children and young people in Kingston, Surrey and surrounding areas; supporting children and those around them to understand and better manage their emotional health.

Having trained as a Systemic Practitioner in 2013 I wanted to explore a more creative therapeutic process.   I love the freedom Play Therapy gives to a client the power to search for a solution for oneself and to harness an inner strength.  The non-directive default position of my practice enables clients to explore issues and difficulties for themselves in a safe, non-judgemental environment, allowing them to led the therapeutic process with a more directive approach being utilised if needed.  It is this feeling of permissiveness a client has in play therapy offering such a wide range of mediums, which has led me to want to build a career as a Play Therapist.

We offer individual and group therapeutic support to children and young people as well as Online and INSET training to schools and advice and guidance to parents and teachers.

We will work with you to accommodate the support the children and young people in your setting require.  We will discuss the needs of your service and tailor our work to provide a bespoke package.

I offer sessions in schools and at my private clinic in Epsom.  Other locations will be looked at on a case by case basis. Please contact me with any questions or queries you may have.
