ONLINE Parenting Consultation
An one hour focused online meeting with a play therapist. Understand what’s behind your childs behaviour. Leave with a plan that fits your families needs.
60 Minutes – Online £60
An online parenting consultation for the days when nothing seems to work.
Some days it feels like you’re doing everything you’ve been told to do, and it’s still a battle. Screens, mealtimes, mornings, bedtimes… and underneath it all, a nagging voice asking whether you’re getting it wrong (or if your child is, in fact, broken).
The Reframe Session is a one-to-one call, with a play therapist, to look underneath the two or three things you’re finding trickiest right now. We’ll focus on: is what’s being asked of your child developmentally realistic for their age and stage? And where did the expectation come from: what your child needs, or the rules and values you’ve inherited along the way?
Who it's for ?
Parents who are tired of generic advice, who suspect the rulebook doesn’t fit their child (or them!), and who want an approach that works for their family and their values.
How the Hour Works
- We name your two or three biggest trigger points and what they look like at home
- We take each one in turn, exploring what’s driving the behaviour and where the mismatch might be
- We finish with practical next steps you can take away and use
How to book
- Book. Choose a time that suits you.
- Tell me a little. A short form asks what’s worrying you, your child’s age, and what you’ve tried.
- Talk. We meet online for 60 minutes. Both parents are welcome.
- Take it away. I’ll send a written summary with your next steps, so you don’t need to take notes.
Price
The Reframe Session costs £60 for a 60-minute online call. There’s no minimum number of sessions. Book again whenever you need to.
FAQs
What is an online parenting consultation? A one-to-one video call with a child specialist about a parenting concern. You talk through what’s happening, and get expert, tailored advice.
How much does an online parenting consultation cost? The Reframe Session is £60 for 60 minutes.
What can we talk about? Anything that’s worrying you. Common topics include tantrums, anger, anxiety, sleep, siblings, school worries, and big changes like a new baby or separation.
Do I need to bring my child? No. The session is just for you. Your child doesn’t need to be there.
Can both parents attend? Yes, and it often helps. You’ll both hear the same advice.
How many sessions will I need? Most parents need just one. You can book a follow-up if you’d like to check in after trying things at home.
What platform do we use? [Zoom / Google Meet]. You’ll get a link when you book.
Is it confidential? Yes. What you share stays between us, unless there’s a safeguarding concern.
Will I get a diagnosis? No. A consultation can’t diagnose conditions like ADHD or autism. But if I think an assessment would help, I’ll explain the next steps.
Where are you based? Lily Pad Play Therapy is in Epsom, Surrey. Online consultations are available to parents anywhere in the UK.

Free help vs a consultation
Charities like Coram Family Lives and Action for Children offer brilliant free helplines and chat. If you need a quick steer, start there.
A consultation is different. You get one specialist, a full hour, focused only on your child. We go deeper, and you leave with a plan built for your family.
Is this therapy?
The Reframe Session is a parent support session, not therapy. It’s a space to think through your parenting challenges with a play therapist’s understanding of child development, and real life parenting experience. It isn’t a clinical assessment or therapeutic work with you or your child.
If your child would benefit from play therapy, or something needs your GP or school, I’ll explain who to speak to and how.
